End of Term Disco!

All the boarders were invited into St Bedes on Tuesday evening, where they danced the night away at the end of term disco! The room was transformed with the new disco lights and sound system now available for the boarders to use for events such as this one. The boarders really got into the party mood as was demonstrated by the many wild and wacky costumes and crazy hairstyles. Mr Callow and the GAPs even managed to bust out some moves on the dance floor (much to the children's amusement, I'm sure). But alas, the night had to come to an end and the children were sent upstairs to bed before the last day of school for 2012. Wishing you all have a lovely holidays, a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year! Over and out for the final time,
Miss Caddy xx

Christmas lunch

The All Hallow's children continued celebrating the upcoming Christmas with a weekend full of festive fun! Yesterday, the wonderful aromas of a good Christmas meal filled the school as all the boarders and residents gathered in St. Bedes for a lovely Christmas lunch. *Cracks* and squeals of delight filled the air as the children discovered the surprises in their crackers with friends. A rich chocolate pudding finished the children off on a high and they were let loose to burn all their energy on quad bikes, a bouncy castle and a gladiators challenge! A wind-down evening of watching a "Christmasie" film in St Bedes finished off the evening, and then it was up to bed, ready for the last week of school!

Christmas creeps in...

T'was the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
Well, that's not entirely true! Actually, it's not true at all! We still have, as was advertised in the year 8 girls dorm, 16 days until Christmas, and there were definitely lots of creatures stirring throughout the All Hallow's boarding house! The dorms came alive as the children went all out, magically bringing their Christmas spirit alive by using what they already have to create wonderful winter wonderlands. Festive music filled the halls as the children ran from dorm to dorm, discovering the creative wonders that filled each room. The winners for the best decorated dorm were the year 7's for the boys landing and year 8's for the girls landing. There was an amazingly decorated room, complete with Santa's sleigh and even a naughty child reading under their covers, that won the overall best decorated dorm prize. And that prize went to *drum roll* the year 7 girls! After the winners were announced, the younger children headed into the dining room to decorate some Christmas cupcakes with Mrs Hannah, whilst the year 8 girls began to create some festive table decorations. Hot chocolates followed close behind before it was time to head upstairs to clean up the dorms and jump under the covers for a good nights rest!
