Bowling

Due to a wet weather forecast yet again, our plans changed. This time the boarders went bowling in Yeovil. With the lanes booked for 2pm, a nice warm roast lunch was had before the minibus and car set off for Yeovil. There were lots of smiles and cheers, as bvowling balls zoomed down those lanes. Some spending money was given out, so most children cxame back with a faces full of smiles, and bags full of sweets! Hope everyone has a lovely half time, and that the ch9ldren come back fresh faced for the rest of the term!

An unexpected change

Due to some unexpected English weather, our boarders had to change their trip on sunday. Instead of visiting Stourhead gardens in the rain, they opted for a trip to the cinema! Wells Cinema was inundated with All Hallows boarders all ready to watch the thrilling movie... Turbo! About a snail who becomes a really fast race car driver, or so ive been told. Haven't heard any reviews yet from the kids but ill get back to you!

Red and Black!

This wednesday night activity was red and black night! Names and challenges were drawn out of a bowl to decide which teachers, Mr Callow, Mr Toomey, Miss Palmer, Miss Bottger, Miss Stubbings and Mr Wheatley, would compete against each other. For each challenge, the children had to pick a side. If their chosen teacher won their challenge they were still in the competition, if not, they were booted out! Some of the challenges included the longest head stand, wall sit, hand walking, juggling and heads and tails. A lot of noise and cheering was heard in the gym, all of the parents could probably hear from Cranmore, im sure!

The crowd waits for the next challenge..

Surf Simulator!

After a very busy saturday full of enrichments, hockey and rugby tournaments our boarders were rather tired come sunday. luckily it was a lovely day outside so we all could enjoy the sunshine and some chill out time. the tennis courts were in use, as well as the adventure playground. We had a very special treat, being the surf simulator. I have heard some great reveiews from the kids about the surf board. The aim is to stay on the board for as long as you can, while it moves to and fro in order to make you fall. Our champion surfer on the day came very close indeed, Maria and Benedict came to the same time of 1 minute and 25 seconds, however Benedict spent the last two seconds on his knees! So Maris was crowned champion of the day! Hot chocolate and biscuits were a nice final treat at letter writing before bed. Hope this weeks weather stays nice and sunny, highly ulikely im sure.
