Fun around the house!

Yesterday our boarders were able to do as they pleased around the school. We had quad bikes come in for some fast fun around the front field as well as some bouncy castle games set up in the gym. The tennis courts were used all day by those who wanted a run around as well as the cricket bats. A swim was held for those who wanted some splashing fun and the year seven girls opted to hold a beauty salon in their dorm where hand and foot massages were available as well as hair and makeup. A fun filled day around the school left our boarders nice and tired for bed last night with only five more days of school before half term!

Paintball in May

Yesterday the boarders were able to experience paintball without being three feet under mud! Although the sun wasn't shining, we still had lots of fun running around crazily under the cover of trees to aim paint bullets at our opposing teams. the juniors headed off earlier in the morning for their own little war with the assistance of Mr Garcia and Miss Sapsead. Everyone met back at school for a roast lunch before the seniors headed out for their turn with Miss Weir and the Gaps. With teams made, the children hid and covered and shot at each other in four intense rounds of paintball consisting of 300 bullets. After a fun afternoon everyone arrived back at school nice and tired and ready for bed and the coming week!

Raid, Raid, Raid!

This thursday night the sun was out so our activity was a wide spread game of raid on the front field. Three teams, the reds, greens and yellows were spread out and the objective was to run and get your colour card from another team! we had lots of fast runners and tactics made during the course of the game. The team that came out on top after 4 rounds were the reds! well done red team!

The beginning of Summer Term!

After some glorious holidays our boarders have been back this week ready to complete their last term for the school year. With the sun occasionaly showing itself the children were able to get outside after suppers and run around to burn all that excess energy they had been storing over winter. Thursday night this week consisted of cops and robbers around the school as well as a swim in the pool! Today we had a bouncy castle set up in the gym for some fun and laughs. After a lovely sunday roast lunch the children went out on a lovely walk accompanied by Mr Bird and Mr and Mrs Green in the fresh air. After returning back a swim was held with Mr Bird the life guard and the IT room was also open. A lovely relaxing weekend for all after a busy first week back. Hopefully we shall be seeing a bit more sun soon!

High ropes adventure

This weekend the boarders headed out to a High ropes Activity in the trees. After a very long and loud bus journey we arrived at our destination ready to go! Some nerves were found as we looked up into the trees to see where it was we would soon be hanging from. There were two groups, the high ropes group that got all harnessed up to climb obstacles in the trees, and the second group remained closer to the ground and walked along bouncy tight ropes to then jump and flip off! Hopefully some fears were overcome as the kids jumped into mid-air off a very high platform!

Slumber Party!

Last thursday night was our Slumber Party night before Exeat Weekend! Everyone got inot their Pj's nice and early so we could all sit down to a meal in a box in St Bede's. The 'cinema' was packed with chairs and benches and children all enjoying their thursday evening. The movie watched was Men in Black 3, and we were all lucky enough to have popcorn for pudding!



Clarks Village shopping

Yesterday all of the boarders had a relaxing morning followed by a shopping spree at Clarks Village. With a few hours of free time in the morning, the boarders were allowed to play games in the gym, go to the ICT room or chill on the landings. After our Sunday roast lunch we all jumped on the coach with cash at the ready for when we hit the shops! Many children opted for a visit to the Cadbury shop and were all very pleased with their items of purchase whether it was sweets, chocolates, clothing, accesories and the list goes on! Unfortunately no photos were taken but im sure you can imagine the excitement on the kids faces as they dashed around the complex in groups trying to make their minds up about what to buy!!
