Terrific Tuesday for the boarders involved a 'Bingo Bonanza' in St Bedes. Their Common Room was packed (a veritable Full House) and tension and angst were palpable as the professional caller ,aka Mr Bird - thoroughly enjoying himself with all the jargon involved, such as 'legs eleven', 'key to the door' etc etc. - announced the numbers to much gnashing of teeth and excitement as the thought of calling BINGO kept the children on the edge of seats. The prizes were varied and magnificent: lots of edible delights, stationery, Rubik cubes, cards, packs of tennis balls but the undoubted 'star prize' turned out to be the box of decorated sticking plasters!
The catering team added to the sense of occasion by providing cheese toasties as a welcome snack at the end of the evening.
Tom was delighted with his decorated sticking plasters and who wouldn't be.
