Last Wednesday, we had our famous fireworks night! Though it was a very cold and icy night, it didn't stop the kids from enjoying the activity.
Straight after dinner, all the boarders were sent upstairs to the landings to get dressed in their warmest clothes as it was about 5 degrees outside! After that, everybody was given a toffee apple sent over to the astro to begin watching the fireworks.
There were lots of 'oohs' and 'aaaaaahs' during the impressive show - a big thankyou to Mr Veale and Mr Garcia for being brave enough to set them all off. The fireworks display continued on for about twenty minutes - it was absolutely amazing. It was also really nice to see some of the families that weren't regular boarders make it down to the fireworks night as well.
After that, everybody headed over to the bonfire - located at the end of the long jump area - where all the boarders set off some sparklers.
Overall, a very enjoyable and unforgettable night.
