Open mic night!

Last week's boarders' activity was the long-awaited Open mic night!

All of the boarders, and residential staff, made their way into the music room where a large projector screen was set up at the front of the room to display the lyrics to each chosen song.

First up we had the Year 4's - Teresa, Ellie, Xanthe, Grace, and Tia - who sang a beautiful song from the Disney movie, 'Frozen' which was then followed by a eclectic range of songs from all the other age groups. Some of these songs included 'Feliz navidad' (even though we are still a fair few months from Christmas...), 'What makes you beautiful' (sung brilliantly by Mr Opie and Mr Wheatley), 'Wrecking Ball', as well as many other 'classics'.

A big thankyou to Mr Callow and Miss Palmer for helping to organise the night, and also to Mr Emsley and Mr Opie for their musical talents.

It was such a fun and enjoyable night, with EVERYONE getting involved and having a go at expressing their musical talents - I certainly can't wait for the next karaoke night :)

Signing off,
Miss Donato
