Surf Simulator

Sunday’s boarders’ activities this Sunday included the weekend boarders’ being able to experience surfing – many for the first time!

A surf simulator was brought into the school gym on Sunday afternoon where all of us had a go at trying to stay on the surfboard for the longest! The trickiest part was that the surfboard began to move in all different directions slowly at first, but then after about 30 seconds it began to drastically speed up.

During the first trials, it was Christina and Antonio who managed to stay on for the longest – I have no idea how they did it! The second trials, however, were a lot harder – much faster and moved in a much more random motion. Again, I believe it was Christina again who managed to stay on the surfboard for the longest.

By the end, even Mrs Mewburn had a go on the surf simulator in which she balanced for an amazing 26 seconds – it was much trickier than it looked!

Additionally, it was the Ellie and Tia West’s 9^th birthday was yesterday (Monday). Much cake and celebrations were had and the twins had an absolutely amazing day – a bit exhausted by the end of it though!
